Wizkid promises his fans in Ghana a new concert from himself and his team to compensate for his absence at the just-ended Wizkid Live at the Accra Sports stadium. He apologised for his no-show, saying that that was the best decision due to safety and production issues.

In Wizkid’s formal apology to Ghanaians for his absence, he mentions that safety and production issues prevented him from delivering a “high-quality show.” Adding that he and his team are working on a show. Although he does not give a date, Wizkid says it will be soon.

“My brand is something I don’t joke with!… I was charged up, looking forward to doing this show… Unfortunately, up until the day of this show, there continued to be safety and production issues that prevented me from putting on the high-quality show that my fans deserved. My team and Myself are working on delivering a show to my amazing fans in Ghana. It will be just us, me and you. Date and details soon. Love you.”

Wizkid Live at the Accra Sports stadium was organised by Live Hub Entertainment, who offer full refunds to all patrons to salvage Wizkid’s no-show situation at the concert.

Some Ghanaians have reacted to the apology on Twitter, saying it is not sufficient for the ‘damage’ caused.
